DJ Gozar - Subsuelo L.A.

Gozar started collecting wax and mp3s almost two decades ago, having recently left behind Los Angeles and re-located to the bay just days before the non-calamity of Y2K. From Outkast and bay area boom-bap, through a love affair with soul music & roots reggae, and jobs across-the-street-from or at records stores, onto a 5 year sting in college & public radio, he slowly made his way through downtempo and mid-tempo electronic music into his present tastes eccompassing all of the above plus a strong bias towards Global Carribbean-based tropical sounds fused with every kind of electronic beat and tempo.

Co-founder of the Calentura and Subsuelo crews out of L.A. & tech-liaison for The Lift, he's had the chance to conceive of, produce, execute & perform at a truly diverse and exciting list of events & venues with so many of his musical inspirations. A list including festival stages, quincineras, backyard house parties, civic events, countless nights at dingy bars, warehouse parties, ethiopian restaurants and more and feautring genres as diverse as global, soulful, organic funky & tribal house, latin, afrrican & brazilian organic & bass music, midtempo groovy beats, twerk, digi roots reggae, soul & funk, hip-hop and house party throwback fun of all kinds. Collaborators include festival organizers, burning man camps, party, event promoters, historic music labels, movement & spiritual instructors, non-profit orgs, major city orgs, forward-thinking businesses of all kinds and all the beautiful funk people that have joined him on a dance floor.

DJ Izzy - Braza SF

San Francisco based izzy*wise aka Isaac Weiser first started performing music in his Dad’s Klezmer band as a teenager. As the multi instrumentalist began learning new instruments and collecting records, so came the influx of different styles and cultures of music. Having played in many bands performing reggae, afrobeat, funk, rock, hip hop, klezmer, drum n bass, and latin styles this versatile performer began producing his own music and djing in 2007. Combining his knowledge of multiple instruments, sound reinforcement, and his love of mixing music from different cultures, we now have the electro world dub mashup that is izzy*wise’s music.

A member of the legendary Afrolicious party crew, izzy*wise plays and collaborates with many different musicians and groups, and is tending a growing discography including 11 vinyl releases. He has performed internationally in Spain, Nicaragua, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, United States, and Canada. Some notable groups are: LoCura, Afrolicious, MC Rai, Lucky Brown and the Funk Revolution, Pleasuremaker Band, Ocote Soul Sounds, Makru, Mophono Halftone Society, Sureshot Symphony, J Boogie, Nickodemus, and DJ Smash.
